Meditation

Meditation is being present in the moment! Learning to live in the NOW!

Meditation is quickly becoming a universal word for relaxation and stress reduction.  For centuries, cultures across the globe used meditation as a means of connecting to a force which seemed greater than themselves. To Christians, it is called prayer, to Buddishts, it’s chanting and to one individual, Napolean Hill, it is called “sitting for ideas.” It is through the practice of daily meditation, we begin to learn how to quiet those unwanted thoughts and manifest our true desires as we connect deeper with Source.

Meditation is also a healing technique and when combined with visualization or imagery through the guided meditation, it becomes a very powerful technique indeed!  You’ve heard me speak in great details about how powerful our emotions are and that our thoughts create our realities.  Now, adding quiet meditation practices daily to your inner healing routine will prove to be most beneficia to your own self healing journey.

To experience your own guided meditation journey, please visit The Healing Center page and download the Art of Meditation MP3.

Meditation is not just a healing technique, there is so much more to it, so why have I included it here? Simple, because meditaiton IS at the basics and very foundation for ALL inner healing, self healing sucess!  Meditation is the one single technique which, when used daily deepens your spiritual connection to Source, Creator, God/Goddess, Universal Life Force Energy, the ALL or whatever you choose to call it.  It is a vital part along your pathway to Spiritual Awakening and for your own personal Spiritual Growth and Development.

The more you practice meditation, the faster and deeper you will be able to connect. It’s important not only for your physical health but also for your emotional, mental and spiritual health as well. Spending at least 15 minutes in the morning before you begin your day and 15 minutes as you conclude your day will not only keep you more relaxed, it will also keep you more connected.  Use your emotions as your guide. If you find your Self on the lower end of the vibrational frequency spectrum, you will know that you have become disconnected. Then take a few moments to reconnect!

You will find a great deal of information, suggestions and more throught the posts under the category of mediation.  Some of the topics we will be discussing and sharing will include:  meditation techniques, spiritual meditation, meditation classes, guided meditation, relaxation meditation, relaxation exercises,  stress reduction,  visualization techniques, guided imagery, spiritual awakening, spiritual growth, spiritual development, spiritual journey

The Benefits to Maintaining a Daily Meditation Practice

Meditation is the process in which one learns to quiet the mind, thus creating a calming effect upon the body.  Meditation practices have become widely acceptable as a means to reduce stress, strengthen ones immune system therefore creating an environment for well-being.

As you begin to place these practices into your daily routine, such as 15 minutes in the morning will set your day off on a positive step and 15 minutes in the evening will help relax the body as it prepares to rejuvenate its Self while you sleep.  Just by adapting this rule of thumb, you will be replenishing what stress reduces.

But what if you want more from your meditational practices?  What if you want to use meditation as a tool or a means to help you connect on a deeper, more spiritual level?  You will want to increase your meditational practices time.  To reach a hightened state of awareness, it is suggested that you increase your meditation time to one hour both in the morning and in the evening!

Regardless of your purpose for beginning a routine of daily meditations, the benefits you will receive are many, to name a few:

  • Allows the mind to relinquish control
  • Places you in alignment with the flow of your energy
